Personal Digest Saturday: January 18 – January 24

Life news this week:

• Saturday Meghan was staying with me. We had breakfast and hung out; I did my blogging and she did some studying. Then we drove to Sarasota for Connie's party, where I got to see my dad's band play for the first time. (They even invited me to sing with them!) Meg and I got a bunch of good food and had a lovely time. We went home and had some more cake and zonked out.
  
• Sunday Meghan and I went shopping and ate at a Japanese restaurant for lunch, and we watched Space Ghost to bring back old memories. After she left, I got a bunch of stuff done: learned and covered a song, made lemonade, did laundry, did a karaoke song, and made protein bars and pine tea.
  
• Monday it was cold but I rode the bus. Finished my reports and timesheets at work. Wrote a letter to a friend and scolded people who suck on the Internet. Spent a lot of time just huddling under an electric blanket because I was too cold.
  
• Tuesday I took Lyft to work because it was cold. We did two letters. I also discussed trading cards with others and made a very weird meal that was made to look like a dead purple alien. (It was made of Tofurky and plantains. With purple gravy.) Definitely the weirdest cartoon dish yet. I finally put on the heat and fell asleep early.
  
• Wednesday I took Lyft to work because of coldness and lateness. Did business development stuff. Reviewed Steven Universe ongoing comic #36. Went out with Jeaux to eat at Bob Evans, grocery shopped, and talked about jerks. We watched Owl House and I slept early.
  
• Thursday I took Lyft to work because of laziness. I did marketing stuff and a bit of utility stuff. Argued with people on Reddit. Talked to Victor on the phone after work and drew my comic. He had an interview!
  
• Friday I did Lyft again. I need to stop being lazy. I made a huge sandwich in the morning and took some to work with me. I did business development stuff and research. Came home and finished my comic. Didn't get a lot else done.

Personal Digest Saturday: January 11 – January 17

Life news this week:

• Saturday I went to help Mom get a new phone and things went pretty well. Then I did my podcast recording with Daria, which also went well. I did some blogging and made some cartoon food.
• Sunday I had a nice lazy day. Made some cartoon food, did some singing and some laundry, updated recipes on Tumblr, and finally answered a few messages on OKCupid. My air conditioning died. Also a big tree branch fell on my house!
• Monday I worked and tried to coordinate repair of my air conditioning but they wouldn't send a tech out until I checked a few things. So after updating some utilities at work, I hung out with Victor in a house with no A/C. The windows were open and we were sitting in front of fans eating pizza. We also made a video eating snacks from Spain. He gave me my birthday presents. :)
• Tuesday we took a shared Lyft to my work and Victor's home. I worked on utilities and helped with a presentation. My air conditioning got fixed because my mom went to my house and let the AC guy in. (And she told me the tech was hot and she flirted with him. Mom will be Mom.) Went home and did silly recipes, including fresh donuts. Ate too much and washed dishes.
• Wednesday my co-workers had an interview but we came in second. Boo. After work I went to Vallarta's with Jeaux and shopped at Publix. We watched some Colbert sketches but mostly just talked to each other. After he left I discussed comics and trading cards with nerds online.
• Thursday I worked and did some proposal prep. Cleaned out my mailbox somewhat. Went home and drew my comic and got it posted before going to bed. Also made a giant bowl of ice cream for cartoon silliness.
• Friday was MY BIRTHDAY! I'm 42! At work one co-worker got me lil cupcakes and my boss bought me a cake! I did reports and timesheets. After work I went out to Japanese food with Meghan, who came for our birthday, and we had Jeaux over so he could give us birthday gifts. We ate some of the cake my boss gave me.

Personal Digest Saturday: January 4 – January 10

Life news this week:

• Saturday I slept late and didn't get a whole lot done. I had plans to do podcasts but my partner had to cancel due to extenuating circumstances surrounding her country being on fire. I bummed around all day and did my blogging and photo updates, and I made a ridiculous cartoon-inspired platter consisting of clams, peanut butter, and grass. (It was all candy though.)
  
• Sunday was much better. I slogged my way through cleaning up the kitchen after my chocolate adventure, and then I ordered a pizza and watched cartoons with Kari! We watched the beginning of Season 5--episodes 129 to 140. After she left I just ate more pizza and zoned out.
  
• Monday I had to update stuff for my boss and went to the store. After work I had no Internet for most of the night! It was annoying. I made a replica of another SU food display and fell asleep. Then I got up in the wee hours and made a weird smoothie and some fruit juice stuff for more cartoon recipes.
  
• Tuesday I took the bus to the office and brought a bunch of fruit with me. We abandoned one of our projects so I didn't have to do forms like I thought I would. I had to investigate some utilities. Then at home I did drawings for my webcomic because Friday plans mean I have to finish comics early. I also had to help my mom update her paperwork and argued with people on the Internet about their unnecessarily edgy theories.
  
• Wednesday I rode the bus to work and worked on a proposal. Did some doodles, bought stuff for more upcoming recipes, and looked at some job opportunities to help Victor. Went out to Beef O'Brady's with Jeaux and we shopped at Winn-Dixie, where I was able to get free ice cream because it's my birth month! Then Jeaux made me watch a hilariously absurd but way too gross for me anime. After he left I answered some questions online about one of my recipes and went to sleep.
  
• Thursday I worked and did research. More people online were sharing wrong opinions about edgy theories so I ended up arguing some more. Talked to Victor on the phone and did some home cleanup and laundry folding. Went to bed early after posting my comic.
  
• Friday I had more proposal stuff for work, and after work I hung out with my friend Steve! We made vegetarian shepherd's pie and talked, watched some cartoons, and enjoyed each other's company. After he left I stayed up too late making a star-covered egg (yes, cartoons again) and did some planning for my podcast.

Personal Digest Saturday: December 28 – January 3

Life news this week:

• Saturday I had a lot of pictures to process and some blogging to do, so I worked on that. I drew a promo doodle for the last two episodes of SU for 2019. Jeaux picked me up and took me to Moe's for food, then to his house for cartoons. They were great episodes. Then we did some grocery shopping and went back to my house. I updated some Internet stuff and went to sleep.
  
• Sunday I cleaned up some clutter I'd let sit around the house all week while talking to Meg on the phone. I spent most of the day rereading old journal stuff so I could make a more accurate year-end post for my survey, but it really did end up stealing most of my day. I also took out trash, did dishes, did karaoke, did laundry, and worked on a podcast outline.
  
• Monday I got up super early to finish my podcast outline, and had to work after so I took a paid ride because I'm lazy. Did some stuff for upcoming letters and played around with e-mail. At home we recorded the podcast for "Onion Trade" and "Steven the Sword Fighter." Nice long discussions. Also got some of my So You Write doodles done and spent most of the time after the podcast arguing with buttholes online.
  
• Tuesday I got up early to finish So You Write and record/process a new Letters to an Asexual video. I like to have one of each of those done per month and I had not done either for December, so it was crunch time. Then I went back to bed for a few hours, got up and went to work, and played with a new bid tracking utility. When I went home I finished my subtitles and reconnected with someone I talked to a long time ago on SU Amino. Went to Mom's house for New Year's Eve and we lit sparklers and ate ice cream with P, Y, and A.
  
• Wednesday was New Year's Day so I didn't have to work. I prepared a bunch of stuff for our breakfast for dinner celebration, so when my family arrived it was mostly about just making the waffles and cooking the potatoes. We had a lovely time eating our breakfast food (waffles, eggs, sautéed mushrooms, strawberries, grapes, fake bacon, tater tots, and homemade biscuits!). Then afterwards we played with nephew Ash and read a couple books. We played fort with pillows and threw a ball at each other and Ash dressed up like a clown. It was adorbs.
  
• Thursday I had work again. I worked on a letter most of the day--one of the long ones that required a lot of reading. Then I worked on my webcomic while talking to Victor, and not much else.
  
• Friday I had to do some updated data at work and some upcoming projects reports for my boss. After work I finished my comic and didn't do much else. One awesome thing that happened was I found THREE of the five rare comics I'm still missing. Three of them!!! Very excited that I might actually complete this collection someday. My grandmother would have been 90 today!
