Pitch Wars and Craft Books

Just a couple redirects today:

I sent in a suggestion in response to Krista Van Dolzer's question: "What's Your Favorite Book On Writing?" My answer along with a couple other answers is here on her blog:

What's Your Favorite Book On Writing?

Don't worry, we also explain why these books are helpful. Useful for anyone who wants a writing craft book that comes recommended from the authors they've helped!

And I will be participating as one of the mentors in Brenda Drake's excellent Pitch Wars contest, which will be underway with mentor bios next month and will be taking submissions in early December. If you're an author with a finished manuscript who is interested in getting an agent, you may want to shine up your book and start checking out the mentors:

Pitch Wars . . . announcing the mentors!

You can get started getting to know us, since you can only pick four mentors to submit to and hope one of us chooses you, but our preferences and what genres we'll accept will be posted next month. If you get picked, you get your query letter and first page critiqued for the agent round, and we'll also massage your whole book trying to groom you for getting plucked by an agent. :D
