Personal Digest Saturday: February 22 – February 28

Life news this week:
  • Saturday my podcast partner had to cancel our recording plans so I just spent the day procrastinating on my blogging and floundering on the Internet. I had food to make but didn't do it. I made some plans for New York and got tickets to a show, which was cool. Jeaux and I are going to see the Alanis musical. I spent too much time on Reddit.
  • Sunday was a more productive day. Before noon I got my whole Korean meal spread prepared and photographed. Go me. I did dishes, laundry, and trash, plus I did my karaoke recording and processed a podcast. Also spent some time discussing stuff on Reddit and being irritated by leaks for upcoming SU episodes.
  • Monday I worked and bought some groceries. I helped a little with a proposal and escaped having to go to South Florida for data collection. After work I cooked a sandwich and baby milk for a funny cartoon thing. I talked to Mom on the phone and put up laundry. And I made some tater tot bits and put up my latest podcast.
  • Tuesday I helped process paperwork for a new employee and worked on proposal stuff for a County proposal. Also had to wrangle utilities for a project. At home I processed a new comic trade and made a lovely zucchini and linguine meal. I tried and failed to fix a glitch on my podcast. And I practiced ukulele.
  • Wednesday was a slow day at work. My boss sacrificed a handout to the proposal gods. Jeaux and I ate at Panera, shopped briefly at Michaels, and got our groceries. We watched Owl House and chatted about annoying people on the Internet.
  • Thursday I worked on the trip itinerary and processed food stuff. I had to organize some utilities stuff at work. After work I made some funny GIFs and talked to Victor on the phone while drawing.
  • Friday I spent the day on reports and updates at work. After work I chatted to my friends and my sister and drew more comics. I posted my comic and did a Fry Bits photoshoot and then I went to sleep early.

Personal Digest Saturday: February 15 – February 21

Sorry, very late posting because I've been sick this weekend!

    Life news this week:
    • Saturday I finished preparing some podcast notes for the evening and made some shopping lists. I rode my bike to the Asian Market and bought some stuff for further cartoon dishes (including, to my dismay and delight, a big smelly durian). Then I jumped right into making sushi rice. I didn't finish my sushi in time before it was time for my podcast, so I went and recorded for a few hours with Daria before continuing my quest to reproduce the Cool Kids Potluck (sushi with avocado and cheese puffs, pizza, soda, and assorted fruit). I got several other dishes photographed too. Cool!
    • Sunday was miserable. I had a lot on my plate to do because I wanted to make the other dishes I'd bought supplies for, but I had a terrible headache, and soon I got sick to my stomach and set a new record for how many times I could barf in a single day. Apparently it was not smart to leave my sushi rice out for hours. Hello! So I spent Sunday with pretty bad food poisoning. By the end of the day I could eat bread though, and I managed to rehydrate and relax. I got some of my blogging done and finally posted it.
    • Monday I called out of work because I was still pretty weak. I did some work on transcripts for my boss and sent them in, so I kinda worked from home. Then I went outside and cut up the weird fruit I'd bought. Doing it outside was smart because durian is very smelly. I ended up not being able to eat any of it because I didn't like the durian and the dragonfruit hurt my face, and I am allergic to pineapple so I saved it for Jeaux. I got caught up on my laundry and karaoke too.
    • Tuesday I worked again. Caught up on timesheets and spent most of the day on a county proposal. After work I made some carrots and potatoes for a cartoon recipe and tried to respond to some messages. I also received the last few cards for my Pink Foil card set to be complete, so I have all the trading cards now!
    • Wednesday I did some work on proposals and utilities. After work I went to Beef O'Brady's with Jeaux, shopped at Publix, and bought our tickets to go to New York City in March! (We're celebrating 20 years as friends.) It was a long process to make all the decisions but we're happy with it.
    • Thursday I helped prepare some presentations for my office team. Then they lost the documents by forgetting them on the roof of the car. Still did okay. Worked on a city proposal. Got really sad because we received the announcement that the last 10 episodes of Steven Universe Future are airing throughout the month of March. The show I've been super into for five years will be over next month. It's hard. :( Talked to Victor on the phone and drew comics. Stuff is kinda depressing.
    • Friday it got cold! We found out we scored highest on that presentation where we lost the materials. Haha. I spent the day on city proposal stuff. I had to take the bus home because my coworker who usually drives me home these days left early. Some guy hit on me at the bus stop. :P After work I made some funny GIFs and drew the rest of my comics.
    Reading progress:
    • Finished Reading: Nothing this week. I had to take Lyft a bunch of times so not much bus reading time.
      New singing performances:

This week's karaoke song is "Little Lies" by Fleetwood Mac.

      Stuff Drawn:

Webcomic Negative One Issue 0771: "A Reason to Talk."

Personal Digest Saturday (but posted Monday!): February 8 – February 14

Sorry, very late posting because I've been sick this weekend!

      Life news this week:
      • Saturday I got up late and checked out some opportunities online, and I made a funny hoagie based on a cartoon and did some blogging. Also had some fun arguing on Reddit, hooray. And I watched some more of a playthrough I've been putting off.
      • Sunday was another late day. Cleaned up the house a bit and watched Eizouken's latest episode. Posted some more recipes and asked Facebook groups for suggestions. Did my usual Sunday chores.
      • Monday I got hit on by my rideshare driver so that wasn't cool. At work I printed brochures and did data entry and sent a qualifications package in. Took a nap after, got up and drank an entire can of wine, and talked to my friends in texts.
      • Tuesday I was very tired because of the previous night. Spent the day entering data. Made a fake turkey leg at home, which was novel. Chatted with friends and ate cherries.
      • Wednesday I finished my data entry at work. Made a fun quiz for Amino. Hung out with Jeaux, ate at Marco's Pizza, went shopping, watched Owl House.
      • Thursday I made some progress on e-mail, did some updates on a database, and made weird food at home (as well as an omelet to use up egg whites!). I made some delicious Ruby Jewel Cookies for Valentine's Day and talked to Victor and drew some comics.
      • Friday it was rainy in the morning. I spent the day doing reports and timesheet stuff, and then I also got some groceries and updated my lists for the last few recipes I have not made for cartoon stuff yet. Had a really hard time getting home--buses were wonky and I had warming groceries so I called Lyft and it took forever to come. Argh! But I made it home, finished the comic, made a cartoon post, and made a funny meal that was meant to look like fast food.
      Reading progress:
      • Finished Reading: Nothing this week. I had to take Lyft a bunch of times and the one time I rode the bus and had time to read, the guy next to me was talking to me.
        New singing performances:

This week's karaoke song is "I Need to Know" from the musical Jekyll & Hyde. (Sorry, I can't sing this in the originaloctave.)

        Stuff Drawn:

Webcomic Negative One Issue 0770: "Stealth."

        None.

Personal Digest Saturday: February 1 – February 7

        Life news this week:
        • Saturday was a pretty lazy day! I got up late and hung around the house drinking coffee and watching anime (I have a new show to like called Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, which Tumblr would not shut up about). Beyond that I texted with my friends, updated my blog, opened a new hair bow for my collection, and negotiated about trading cards.
        • Sunday I did laundry and cleaned up the kitchen. I even cleaned the outdoor table but it was too cold to sit out there. And I made vegan marshmallows from scratch. I did karaoke and downloaded a document I was gonna need for my mom's taxes, and I got someone banned from a Facebook group because she was mean to me. Wheee.
        • Monday I brought marshmallows to work! They weren't popular though. These guys and their sugar. I spent most of the day working on a County proposal and had to stay late to finish it up. Got it done in time though. My mom was supposed to come over but she canceled. I just ended up talking to Jeaux and Meg on the phone, putting away laundry, and working on processing my latest podcast episode. I also made spicy fries, which is unlike me, but I blame cartoons.
        • Tuesday I had a day off work because I was helping Mom get her taxes done. We went to an appointment with a tax professional and we were very pleased with the outcome even though we had to pay a fee. We then ate breakfast at a diner and went home. She took a nap and I worked on the podcast some more after she left. Then talked to my friend on Facebook and went to bed.
        • Wednesday I went back to work and did some database updates. Then spent too much time arguing with a jerk on Reddit. Hung out with Jeaux and we shopped at Hot Topic, ate at Red Robin, and shopped at Publix. Then watched Owl House and I told him about the jerk I argued with.
        • Thursday I took the bus to the office. Almost missed the bus because of a lady bogarting the ticket counter to complain about her driver. Spent the work day not doing the proposal I spent the last day on and trying to knock out a transcript. At home I made a Cherry Man meal and talked to Victor while drawing my comic.
        • Friday I got up kinda late but went on in to work. Did a bunch of data entry. After work I procrastinated and talked to Jeaux on the phone and drew the rest of my comic. And made tea sandwiches.
        Reading progress:
        • Finished Reading: Nothing this week.
          New singing performances:

This week's karaoke song is "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof.

          Stuff Drawn:

Webcomic Negative One Issue 0769: "Hold Back."

Personal Digest Saturday: January 25 – January 31

          Life news this week:
          • Saturday I did some picture editing in the morning and then my mom came over at noon. She brought me cookies and late birthday presents. I fixed her computer and we chatted, and then she got tired and napped while I did some blogging. Then later after she left I had a podcast recording with Daria--we recorded "Rose's Room" and "Coach Steven." Awesome time!
          • Sunday I had to finish the blogging I didn't finish on Saturday, but got it done. Did laundry and did a So You Write comic so it'd be up before the end of the month. Did karaoke and a recipe. Didn't get much else done.
          • Monday I worked and answered messages. Then I hung out with Steve after work. We made vareneky and ate it and just caught up and talked and shared a bunch of perspectives and thoughts. It was super nice. Then he had to leave to travel for like over a month, arrgh.
          • Tuesday I prepared some proposal forms and helped my boss with letters. I made some food lists and talked to my sister on the phone while putting away laundry. I made fruit leather with apples and blueberries but it took forever to cook.
          • Wednesday I took Lyft to work because I had to finish preparing my fruit leather properly. I made little fishies out of it. It was cute. Did some work for a County proposal. After work Jeaux and I ate at Five Guys, shopped at Publix, and watched The Owl House.
          • Thursday I did more proposal stuff and helped my co-worker with utilities. After work I hung out with Victor and let him take a test for a job possibility. We made and ate mozzarella sticks and I tried to get him caught up on the latest Steven Universe episodes but he was too sleepy so we went to bed.
          • Friday we took Lyft to our respective places we needed to go (he went shopping, I went to work). I worked on reports and proposals. After work I had to draw all of my webcomic because I didn't get any done the night before. After I posted it I didn't have much time to do anything but go to bed.
          New reviews of my book:
          Reading progress:
