Personal Digest Saturday: September 21 – September 27

Life news this week:
  • Saturday I got up and did dishes and cleaned up my place because I didn't want the pest control guy to think I have ants because I'm a slob. I do have ants though. They really seem to like the water. My weird analysis post that I'd posted on Amino had been picked for a feature, so I replied to all the comments and did my blogging for the day. My popular Tumblr post had over 30,000 notes so I was also getting a lot of messages there, which I answered. Sister Patricia called and we talked for several hours. I made sushi while we were talking. Managed to finish the blogging before going to sleep.
  • Sunday was uneventful. I ate leftover pie but it might have gone off because I didn't feel good after and threw the last piece out. I did my housework and cleaned off my table, did a video outside a the table for my asexuality channel, and was very excited to win a rare item on eBay. I ate more sushi, watched a reaction video, did karaoke, wrote an essay, and organized my trading cards.
  • Monday wasn't too busy at work, but I had to work on a transcript for my boss. After work I drew and listened to podcasts. I made some dividers for my comic book box and talked to someone on Tumblr for a long time because they were interested in the post I'd made.
  • Tuesday the buses were late because of someone passing out on the bus. I was very productive at the office: finished my transcript and sent out reminders for the utility coordination stuff I'm doing. I finished coloring the drawings for my 100th So You Write comic (YAY!) and posted reviews for the new trade paperback of the Steven Universe: Harmony comics. I played the ukulele a little.
  • Wednesday I managed to get out to the bus stop but it was going to be really late again so I gave up and took a Lyft. I worked on my proposal packages and utilities. And I got some time to delete unnecessary e-mails, which really needed to be done. After work Jeaux and I ate at IHOP and watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine and shopped.
  • Thursday I rode the bus in and did more e-mail maintenance. Had to handle more proposal package stuff and utilities. Then I went home and worked on So You Write's processing. Victor called so I switched to drawing my other comic. We talked until I wanted to sleep.
  • Friday the bus was early and I got to work early. I spent the day pretty busy on utilities, timesheets, upcoming projects reports, and a letter of response that was weirdly due on Friday. (They're usually due Mondays.) Then I went home, finished my webcomic, finished processing my other webcomic, and stayed up too late processing the video I'd recorded and responding to comments on a post about Steven Universe–inspired recipes.

    New singing performances:

This week's karaoke song is "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors! I did both parts even though I can't sing low enough to sing Seymour's part! There's some actual decent belting in Audrey's part though!

Personal Digest Saturday: September 14 – September 20

    Life news this week:
    • Saturday was a pretty good day but I was feeling kind of under the weather. Victor and I got together anyway. He and I made our video with the latest Universal Yums box, which for us was from Turkey! Then we took a bus to get bubble tea, shopped at Mojo's Books, and ended the day at Five Guys for our dinner. Then we took buses our separate ways. We had a really great day. I was exhausted and sick though so when I got home I didn't do much but finish blogging and go to sleep.
    • Sunday I felt pretty crappy. I wanted to go visit my mom but I didn't think the smoke at her house would be good for my throat so I told her so and guess what, she finally came to me! She brought me some lozenges which I needed and she helped me brush off the back patio furniture and hung out with me. I made her a pie (belatedly) for her birthday and we ate some of it while watching a cartoon. It was peach pie! After she left I just did laundry and fan stuff and didn't accomplish much, though I did do a karaoke video even though I was sick.
    • Monday I did go to work but I probably shouldn't have. I was SICK and it got worse as the day went on. I went through basically all the tissues in the office sneezing! I couldn't believe it. But I stuck it out the whole day and got a whole bunch of data entry done as well as finishing business development stuff for my boss. I posted a pretty nuanced essay about the villain of the Steven Universe movie, and I had another essay in development but my Internet went out and made me go to bed.
    • Tuesday I actually felt better and took the bus to work. I got the pleasure of listening to a woman roast a man on the bus for not believing her when she told him she was a lesbian who didn't want to date him. He didn't believe in lesbians and told her she just had a bad experience. I couldn't believe I got so lucky as to hear her tell him off in person. :D At work I worked on my RCI data entry more and also got notifications that were higher than normal on my Tumblr. Turned out that nuanced essay had gotten over 14,000 notes that day and I had new followers pouring in, as well as some criticism. All righty. When I went home I made some fake fish and talked on the phone and ate too much, then went to bed.
    • Wednesday I missed the bus unfortunately. Even though I took the trouble to walk to the stop! RARGH! So I called a Lyft. My boss was back from India! He and I worked together on a proposal package that was due the next day. I also took a break to go to the comic store. My post was up past 20,000 notes. Jeaux and I ate at a restaurant called Saki because I was craving sushi. We ate and went shopping and watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I fell asleep on the floor.
    • Thursday I was feeling all achy and went to work in a Lyft car again. I finished the packet that was due to the District. And other than that I just did data entry and made lists of interview questions for my boss. Then I went home, talked to Victor on the phone while drawing, and I talked to someone on Tumblr.
    • Friday I was still damn lazy. I did more of the same interview question copying and finally finished my data entry. My boss was super sick! I hope he didn't get my cold, but he wasn't even back from India when I was sneezing everywhere, so I dunno. Went home, did my comic, and managed to get an analysis post posted on Amino before falling asleep (barely). I was sad I conked out without doing my dishes. Oh, and the post that was really popular passed 30,000 notes.

Personal Digest Saturday: September 7 – September 13

      Life news this week:
      • This was kind of a blah week. Saturday I got to see my mom, at least! It's been forever. But I had to go through a bunch of mail for her and deal with stuff. With her 65th birthday around the corner, she was getting a lot of Medicare spam! Gotta figure out what to recommend since it's pretty overwhelming for someone intimidated by paperwork, so my sister and I are going to help her. We hung out and tried some cake. :) Later I went home and finished my blogging and posted a singing cover.
      • Sunday I finally got back out to my outdoor table! It wasn't in bad shape at all even though I hadn't been out there to clean it off for the past few weeks. I sat outside and relaxed with coffee and finally got an e-mail out to a friend. Mostly besides that I did too much sleeping and obsessing over cartoons.
      • Monday it was back to work. I did some bank balancing and research and spent the evening tired after eating cake. I joined a new Steven Universe group for adults and shared my party pics. They were well received. I made some fun GIFs and practiced ukulele and ate cheese puffs.
      • Tuesday I did some productive stuff with data entry at the office and I read a letter and sent it in. I texted with my mom and Steve. I managed to get a decent cover of the new Steven Universe song "Drift Away" (from the movie). And I also talked to Jessie on the phone--it had been too long. I got some laundry folded finally. And even did some overdue dishes.
      • Wednesday was some weirdness at the office. I did some more RCI data entry and got annoyed over one of those "remember when we were all So United after September 11, 2001?" e-mails from a marketing person. What I actually remember is a lot of war rhetoric, a lot of kinda scary nationalism, a lot of chest-beating over being Amurrican because you had a flag on your car that was made in China, and an awful lot of violence toward black and brown people (especially anyone thought Muslim). I hate to be a jerk about stuff like that but that time was awful and I don't believe that it's a glorious time for "us" when we work together to hate a "them." Anyway, Jeaux and I had a delicious meal at Vallarta's and shopped for groceries, watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and enjoyed each other's company as always. Oh yeah, and my cover for "Drift Away" got a front-page feature on Amino which was cool. Lots of compliments on my voice!
      • Thursday was my mom's 65th birthday. She told me not to come over so I listened. I did some more RCI data stuff and had a slow, sort of annoying day. At home I got some art done for my comic and didn't get much else done.
      • Friday I did more RCI data and updated our company materials to reflect that one of our engineers left the firm. At home I drew the rest of my comic and was tired. I felt like I was coming down with a cold.
      New reviews of my book:
      Diet progress:

I'm abstaining from tracking for a bit because there was so much weird food in weird quantities surrounding the dispatching of leftovers from my party. We'll see when I jump back in again.

      • Finished this week: Didn't get anything done this week.
        New singing performances:

I didn't get around to karaoke this week. :(

        Cotton Candy Garnet!

Webcomic Negative One Issue 0748: "Decency Obsession."

        New videos:

I have a few singing videos.

"Escapism" from Steven Universe. My first song where I don't just do straight up chords! There's a little sorta finger-picking here?

"Escapism" from Steven Universe again, but this is just the straight-up karaoke version with the professional backing track (not played by me), and I added my own singing harmonies!

"Drift Away" from the Steven Universe movie: Literally the saddest song from the film. Don't let my looks fool you.

Personal Digest Saturday: August 31 – September 6

        Life news this week:
        • Saturday I completed my blogging before my guests arrived! And I even got some karaoke and ukulele playing done! Then Meghan and Katelyn arrived. We hung out and Jeaux came over to test out our TV setup for my Monday party. Everything worked great! Then we all went out for food at Five Guys and bought some groceries at the grocery store. We went back home and chilled watching videos and I drew pictures. I made some hard-boiled eggs and finished making wheat rolls after they went to bed.
        • Sunday was prep day! I got up with Meggie and Katie and we made some food for a very silly meal based on the Steven Universe episode "Gem Harvest." The huge cake I was making was part of that, but there was also this huge feast that was mostly made by them (including a chicken, green bean casserole, corn, and mashed potatoes!). We made all the food and I finally had my first experience frosting and tiering up a three-tier CAKE! The food was good and we watched silly videos while consuming it. Great night, even though we were watching hurricane news as well and hearing some awful stuff.
        • Monday was THE MOVIE PARTY DAY! We basically spent the whole day preparing for it; Meghan made rice for Snack Sushi and I sculpted watermelon. Then, according to my awesome list, we laid out all the food, ordered pizza, and even had time to relax shortly before the party began. Jeaux arrived first to set up our TVs and everything was again working perfectly. Then we were joined by Victor, Joy, Arthur, and Yasmin. Everyone got to try Cookie Cats, Fry Bits, Watermelon Steven, Together Breakfast, Fire Salt Donuts, Chaaaaps, Square Pizza, and Snack Sushi, though I held onto the Gem Harvest Cake for after the movie. Then we settled in for our fabulous film, which was amazing as expected, and then we ate cake and talked and bought the soundtrack. :D After everyone left (some taking cake), my friends went to bed and I did a little bit of cleanup and watched the movie again by myself. :D
        • Tuesday I finally had a day when I got up later than my friends. :D They ate some leftovers for breakfast and headed out back to Jacksonville (even though the storm was supposed to hit up there worse than here). I then spent the entire day (which I'd taken off of work) sitting around basically doing nothing but eating leftovers and reading/posting stuff about the movie. I didn't even really clean up. I felt like a lazy butt but really enjoyed having a low energy day, though I did do laundry.
        • Wednesday I also had off work. I did more laundry, had cake and chips, and processed some cake pictures to post on Amino. People really liked the cake! Jeaux came over and we ate at Moe's and shopped, then watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine and talked about the movie a lot.
        • Thursday I finally went back to work. There wasn't much going on except I had to review some plans for one of my co-workers and catch up on stuff that went on while I was gone. I brought some cake to share. My friend Steve picked me up from the office and we ate at "our" pizza place (Best NY Pizza) and caught up and chatted. It's so nice to share thoughts with him. After he left I called Victor and we talked while I drew.
        • Friday was another slow day at the office. Not much to write home about but after work I finished my webcomic and looked at movie news.
        New reviews of my book:

        Diet progress:

Check out my nutrition readout I haven't weighed myself this week so it's just the nutrition stats and, well, I ate a lot of cake and junk.

        Reading progress:
        • Finished this week: I didn't go to work for three days and had very little bus time, so I got little reading done. Not there yet.
          New singing performances:

This week's karaoke song is "Today" by Smashing Pumpkins.
